Earl J. Warren of West Grove
Earl J. Warren, 65, of West Grove, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at his home. He was the husband of Betty L. (Garner) Warren with whom he shared 37 years of marriage. Born in West Chester, he was the son of Anna Warren Anderson and stepfather, Robert Anderson of Kennett Square. He served honorably in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Earl was a crane operator for 24 years at Mittel Steel Co. in Coatesville. A member of Galilee U.A.M.E. Church in Avondale, he was a member and former president of Men of the Sea. He enjoyed fishing and working with his computer and raising his grandchildren who knew him as “Dad”. In addition to his wife, mother, and stepfather, he is survived by; one son, Darryl Graves of Del.; one daughter, Toosdhi Warren of West Grove; one step-daughter, Spring Prigg; one sister, Anita Cruz and her husband, Luis, all of West Grove; five grandchildren, Tejas, twins, Jessica and Jason, Bianca Prigg and Donte Warren; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one daughter, Valerie Warren, one brother, Ervin J. Warren and one step-son, James Prigg, Jr. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday November 19, at Greater Works Ministries, Birch Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348, where his funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be private. Contributions in Earl’s memory may be made to Caring Hospice Services, 400 Commerce Drive, Ste. C, Ft. Washington, PA 19034.
